| Itineraries in China China is known for its rich, ancient landmarks, and unique history. This China Itinerary will help you plan and enjoy your holiday in China. A 7-day round trip is certainly not enough to see all of China, but hitting all the major attractions will at least give you a better feel for culture and history of this popular destination. Day 1- Tiananmen Square Tiananmen Square of Beijing is considered the largest metropolitan square in the world. No visit to China is complete without taking a stroll in this square, or enjoying the festivals such as the country’s National Day and Labor Day. Day 2 – Forbidden City If you want to know the emperors that reigned over China in different dynasties, then the Forbidden City is the place for you. With a total of about 24 rulers taking over in the Ming and Qing dynasties, this hot spot is now included in the list of World Cultural Heritage locations. Day 3 – Temple of Heaven Having a great area of 2,700,000 square meters, The Temple of Heaven is one of the tourist magnets in the country. It was erected in 1420 A.D as a holy sanctuary of the nation’s offerings to Heaven during the Ming Dynasty. It is a good destination of knowing China’s rich culture. Day 4 – The Great Wall The Great Wall is the main symbol of Chinese civilization, and was included among the new 7 Wonders of the World in July of 2007. Walk along its pavement, or take the cable car to see its beauty from an aerial view. Day 5 – Summer Palace Locally known as "Yiheyuan," the Summer Palace once served as the most prominent royal garden in the country. A large portion of the garden is still preserved today. Tourists enjoy taking pictures of the robust pagodas, graceful gardens and discrete buildings. The Summer Palace is a great place to visit with your family. Day 6 – Beihai Park Spend a day at the Beihai (North Sea) Park. This is an ancient royal garden situated at the heart of Beijing, China. It is the center of the different gardens’ grandeur, as well as the religious activities that once graced the land. Day 7 – National Aquatics Center Enthused by the innate pattern of soap bubbles that present a random yet beautiful sequence, The National Aquatics Center is the world famous Olympics venue for swimming competitions and other watersports. Be amazed with the design of the Water Cube, which features the beauty of waters in China.
